101 Must-Do's for Kiwis

Art Bikes

About Art Bikes

In keeping with Tasmania's clean, green and outdoors image, ArtBikes (launched in December 2010) is the newest way to explore Hobart's art and culture scene. Visitors can jump on a bike, free of charge, and pedal their way around the many arts and cultural spots of Hobart using their 'smARTmap' as a guide. Bike lanes criss-cross the city centre and custom-designed ArtBike racks will be at many of the stops. ArtBikes are available for pick-up from Arts Tasmania at 146 Elizabeth St and from the Tasmania Museum and Art Gallery at 40 Macquarie St. To borrow a bike, a visitor just needs to have ID (credit card or passport) and a sense of adventure.
